The short version: your phone data never leaves your computer. truth spores processes iPhone-backup data locally; we never receive it, store it, or transmit it. The only information we handle is a little website + license data, described below.
1. Your phone data — we never receive it
Extraction and report generation run entirely on your own computer. The messages, calls, locations, photos, and other records you process are never uploaded to us or any third party. We have no ability to see them. Reports are saved only on your machine.
2. What we do collect
- Waitlist / Launch Party signups. If you submit the form on our Website, we store your email address plus minimal signup metadata (date, a coarse source/country) so we can email you about the launch. We do not store your phone number, IP, or browsing profile.
- License activation. When you activate the Software, it sends us only your license key and an anonymous, hashed device identifier (so a license binds to one device). It never sends your phone data. After activation, the Software runs offline.
- Optional, anonymous diagnostics. The Software may offer an opt-in option to send anonymous, non-content error information to help us fix bugs. It is off unless you turn it on, and never includes your phone data.
- Website analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics and a TikTok advertising pixel that record anonymous events (e.g. a page view or a signup) using a click identifier only — never your email, phone, IP, or the content of your data.
3. Payments
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar handles your payment details, billing, and taxes under its own privacy policy; we receive only what we need to deliver and manage your license (such as your email and order reference). We never see your full card details.
4. Service providers
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the Service — for example Cloudflare (website hosting, license activation, and storage), Polar (payments), and Google Workspace (sending email). They process data only to provide these services.
5. How we use information
We use the limited information above to: deliver and activate your license, send launch and account-related email, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention & your choices
We keep waitlist and license records for as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to remove your email from the waitlist, or ask what license data we hold, by emailing [email protected]. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes & contact
